Abstract: | Interview of Purushottam Narayan Samant, also known as Dada Samant, the elder brother of Datta Samant. Born in Deobagh, in a family of farmers. After college, joined western railways and joined the Employees Union there. He was the General Secretary of the Bombay Division from 1953 to 1960. He lost his job in the strike of 1963. After this, he joined a textile mill in Bombay as supervisor, and participated Dutta Samant, in the struggle of 1981. He exposed the illegal practices of many enterprise managements. |
